🔒 Setting Up Telegram Private Channel

🔹 Why is this important?

Note: Integrating your private Telegram channel with Affiliate Solution allows you to automate deal posting securely, ensuring only selected members receive your affiliate deals.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to:

  • Create a private Telegram channel
  • Create and connect a bot
  • Obtain the channel ID and bot token
  • Enable auto-posting in Affiliate Solution

🔹 Steps to Connect a Telegram Private Channel

Step 1: Create a Telegram Bot Using BotFather

BotFather is an official Telegram bot that helps you create and manage your own bots. You need to create a bot before linking it to your private Telegram channel.

Step 1: Open Telegram and Search for BotFather

  1. Open the Telegram app on your phone or desktop.
  2. In the search bar, type BotFather.
  3. Select the verified BotFather account (with a blue checkmark ✅).

Step 2: Start a Chat with BotFather

  1. Click the Start button or type /start and press Enter.
  2. BotFather will reply with a list of commands.

Step 3: Create a New Bot

  1. Type the command: 
    /newbot
    and press Enter.
  2. BotFather will ask you to choose a name for your bot (Example: My Private Bot).
  3. Next, BotFather will ask for a username for your bot.
  4. The username must end with "bot" (e.g., MyPrivateBot, ExclusiveDealsBot).

Step 4: Get Your Bot Token

  1. After setting the bot's name and username, BotFather will generate a token.
  2. The token will look something like this: 
    123456789:ABCDEF123456abcdef123456ABCDEF
  3. Save this token securely. It is required to integrate your bot with Affiliate Solution.

Step 2: Add the Bot to Your Private Telegram Channel

  1. Open your Private Telegram Channel.
  2. Click on the Channel Name at the top.
  3. Click on Administrators.
  4. Click Add Admin and search for your Bot’s Username.
  5. Select your bot and give it admin permissions:
    • Post Messages ✅
    • Edit Messages ✅ (optional)
    • Delete Messages ✅ (optional)
  6. Click Save.

✅ Your bot is now an admin in your private channel!

Step 3: Get Your Private Channel ID

  1. If your private channel has no messages, send a test message.
  2. Open Telegram and search for UserInfoBot.
  3. Click on UserInfoBot and tap Start.
  4. Forward a message from your Private Channel to UserInfoBot.
  5. UserInfoBot will provide an output with your Channel ID.
  6. Copy the Channel ID (Example: -1001978529428).
  7. IMPORTANT: The Channel ID must start with a “-” (minus sign).

Step 4: Add Private Channel to Affiliate Solution

  1. Log in to Affiliate Solution.
  2. Click on Telegram from the menu.
  3. Click Channels.
  4. Click Add New Channel.
  5. In the Channel Username text box, paste the Channel ID you copied from UserInfoBot.
  6. Example: -1001978529428 (Don't forget the - sign).
  7. Copy the Bot Token from BotFather.
  8. Paste the Bot Token in the required field in Affiliate Solution.
  9. Click Save.

Step 6: Enable Private Telegram Channel for Auto Posting5

  1. Turn ON the Private Telegram channel to start auto-posting messages.
  2. The icon color will change from Red to Green, indicating activation.

Step 6: Verify Integration by Posting a Deal

  1. Click Logout, then log in again to Affiliate Solution.
  2. Click on Post Deal from the menu.
  3. Enter a deal message in the text box.
  4. Tick the Telegram checkbox in the Share Options.
    • Share with Convert
    • Share without Convert
    • Only Convert
  5. Click on Post Deal.
  6. Open your Private Telegram Channel and verify the message was posted with your affiliate tag.

✅ Congratulations! Your private Telegram channel is now successfully connected and auto-posting is enabled! 🎉

📌 Common Issues & Troubleshooting

❓ My bot is not posting messages in the Private Telegram channel - Ensure the bot is added as an admin and has permission to post. - Verify that the bot token is correct in Affiliate Solution. - Check that the Private Telegram channel is enabled (Green icon, not Red).

❓ My messages are posting, but without an affiliate tag - Double-check your Affiliate Settings to ensure tags are configured correctly. - Ensure your deal message format includes the required placeholders.

❓ I have added the Private Channel ID, made the bot an admin, and configured it in Affiliate Solution, but it's still not working

  • Go to the Post Menu in the Affiliate Solution website.
  • Try posting a deal message.
  • Make sure you have selected the Telegram checkbox under Share Options.
  • Check if there is any error message.
  • Based on the error message, correct your settings.
