📘 Facebook Page Setup Guide

Integrating your Facebook Page with Affiliate Solution allows you to automatically post deals on your Facebook Page. This helps in:

By following this guide, you can create a Facebook app, generate access tokens, and connect Facebook to Affiliate Solution.

🔹 Steps to Set Up Facebook Page Posting

🛠 Step 1: Create a Facebook App

  1. Log in to Facebook Developers.
  2. Click "My Apps".
  3. Click "Create App".
  4. Select "Explore other products and data permissions such as ads management, Instant Games, and more", then click Next.
  5. Select "Create or manage business assets such as Pages, Events, Groups, Ads, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram Graph API", then click Next.
  6. Enter an App Name (Example: Affiliate Solution Demo).
  7. Click "Create App" ✅.

🔗 Step 2: Generate Facebook Page Access Token

  1. Click "Tools" → "Graph API Explorer".
  2. Select your app from the Meta App menu.
  3. Click "Get Token" → "Get Page Access Token".
  4. Click "Continue as [Your Facebook Name]".
  5. Select the Facebook Page where you want to post deals.
  6. Click "Continue" → "Save".
  7. Click "Got it".
  8. Click on your Page name.
  9. Click "pages_manage_engagement".

  10. Click "pages_manage_posts".

  11. Ensure that the highlighted options are selected in green ✅.

  12. Click "Generate Access Token".
  13. Click "Continue as [Your Facebook Name]" → "Save".

✅ Step 3: Extend & Debug the Access Token

  1. Click "User Token".
  2. Select the Facebook Page.
  3. Copy the Access Token (⚠️ Do NOT click "Generate Access Token" again).
  4. Click "Access Token Debugger".
  5. Click "Enter an access token to debug".
  6. Right-click and Paste (Ctrl+V) the token.
  7. Click "Debug".
  8. Click "Extend Access Token". ⚠️ Ensure you have selected "Page" and NOT "User".
  9. Copy the Extended Access Token ✅.

🔄 Step 4: Add Token to Affiliate Solution

  1. Log in to Affiliate Solution.
  2. Click "Facebook" from the menu.
  3. Paste the Access Token and click "Save" ✅.
  4. Facebook settings have been successfully updated 🎉.

🚀 Step 5: Post Deals on Facebook

  1. Click "Post Deal".
  2. Enter your deal message.
  3. Select the Facebook checkbox.
  4. Click "Post Deal" ✅.
  5. ✅ Your deal is now posted on Facebook! 🎉

📌 Common Issues & Troubleshooting

❓ My Facebook Access Token is not working

  • Ensure you selected "Page" token instead of "User" token.
  • Try regenerating the token in Facebook Developers.

❓ My deals are not posting on Facebook

  • Ensure your Facebook Page is enabled for posting.
  • Check permissions (pages_manage_engagement, pages_manage_posts).
  • Make sure the access token is not expired—extend the token if needed.

❓ Auto-posting is not working

  • Ensure "Post on Facebook" is enabled in Post Settings For Bot.
  • Restart the Express Bot to apply changes.
